Extraordinary and remarkable experiences are very normal and usually harmless. However, if these experiences persist for a long time and become worse, they can lead to psychosis. Your life seems to be turned upside down and backwards. Hence the name of this study; from Psy-cho to Cho-psy .

The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam conducts research into the development of psychosis by studying the relationship between stress and extraordinary experiences in healthy adolescents .
